The photos you see posted are from the Chupacabras 100 KM MTB Race back on October 11, 2008.  I can
not begin to tell you about a very unique peak experience during this race.  And yes it lives up to the race promoters
slogan that the race "Will Change You".

The desert can have a life changing experience.  It holds many secrets about who you really are on the
inside when you, not just race, but rather race and endure as a personal sacrifice, a spiritual mix of the inner you,
the trail and God.  I really like 100 Km races, perhaps subconsciously I didn't realize it till this past October's 2008
race in Juarez.

The desert holds many mysteries, for each person this type of experience may be different.  As for me, at
some point along the mountain single track I was huffing it up a short climb and just as I got to the top of a crest there
was a man who called me by name and greeted me in the most pleasant and friendly way.  He truly seemed to know
me as he was smiling and said "Juan" or "el Juan" but I do not know anyone in Juarez.  I kept looking at him as I
approached him and as I passed him I tried my hardest to know who this person was.  He wasn't holding a clipboard
to know me by the bib number, as his hands were slightly raised in welcoming fashion.  But right as I passed him
something strange happened, he was taken back by something I must have said mentally, which I only later recalled
as, "I am going to die for you".   The latter must have been like a spiritual exchange that him and I briefly experienced
but the physical demands of the race didn't let me know it at the time.  I did suspect that is was some kind of a
paranormal incident and only a few weeks later was this known to me as being an incident of bi-location
(below I have
provided
online search links that explain this term).
As I continued on and in my wonder, I thought that this could be Saint Joseph because I had just said a brief
prayer to him.  He didn't have a beard as most of us would expect Joseph to look like.  While I was still in short
distance from him, with probably a ridiculous frown and a look of wonder all over my face, I turned for a second look
and saw that he was smiling at me.  It was as if he read my mind and found my Saint Joseph thought amusing.  I
smiled back and did an okay sign or waved thumbs up or something of the like and that was that.  Okay so by now
you may be saying to yourself, "What has this guy been smoking?"

Now here comes the strangest part of this experience.  Throughout the course of about 2 to 3 weeks after the
race, a picture in the Rio Grande Catholic newspaper of Cardinal Rodriguez Maradiaga kept looking like the man I
saw.  I read that he was in El Paso in mid September 2008.  I told my wife that this really looks like the guy that
greeted me during the 100 K race in Juarez.  No way of course,
but it was strange enough that I decided to write it
down in my journal one evening while this was still fresh on my mind.  As I proof read my journal entry and at about
the point where I had written "...as I passed him..."  I had this overwhelming feeling come over me that I knew this man
to be Peter.  I even said in a
n involuntary whisper, "Peter, it is you Peter!" This brought tears to my eyes.  As if I knew
him while this was happening, like from a past life or past encounter.  This came along with a thought that I had to
really push myself to write down because it was so unusual.  The thought was: "I feel that Cardinal Rodriguez will be
Pope one day, the first and the last, alpha and omega before Christ returns.  This is all beautiful but am I insane."  I
hesitated because I was too busy questioning my sanity, as if searching for where this feeling and thought came
from, but it came from within that seemed to be all around me.

I did some research on Saint Malachy's Papal List or prophetic sequence of popes and Petrus Romanus is up
next and the last one according to Saint Malachy.  To my understanding, It is customary for the Popes to name
themselves in accordance to a Saint of some spiritual likeness
or personal choice.  Benedict's name before
becoming Pope was Ratzinger and now,and of no doubt to me because I trust in what I felt, that Cardinal Rodriguez
Maradiaga as our next Pope Petrus Romanus or Pope Peter the Roman as the first and the last before Christ
returns.  Saint Peter was the first Pope and now as the last.
Since this moment on I know that I have changed personally, things or sins I know I was spiritually battling before
have been lifted.  I went from praying silly things like not to get a flat or having mechanical problems to something
grander.  I also felt that I was in and out of a mild depression, rightly so when you think about the first and last and
tribulations.  But yet not so depressing when you think about Christ returning soon.

I have read about the stigmatized Saint Padre Pio seen by many in bi-location or being in two places at once.
This Cardinal had to have been in bi-location since he was no longer in El Paso but probably back in Honduras.  All I
can say is keep on climbing, don't give up on whatever winding path of life you may be enduring, trust that you will
have your calling! For he will be knocking upon thy door soon and you must make a very wise choice, one or the
other, sheep or goat, either or and nothing more. Two will be in the field, one will be taken one will be left, for it will
not be a rapture as some say, it will be a persecution of the sheep and lambs. May the peace of Christ be with you
always! Really.

The JRCarri.com bike seat was invented by Juan
Carrillo.  He is from Alpine which is located in
the alps of Texas, Big Bend country and
Chihuahuan Desert.  His enjoyment of cycling
has increased throughout the past years since
the patenting of this most unusual road bikers
saddle.  He claims that, "The seat is great
because it will let you stay on the saddle longer,
and more often without worrying about that
pressure you feel after being on a traditional
seat for too long."  He takes part in areawide
races which he says are "proving grounds" for  a
beneficial, anatomical seat that helps you train
for a race, stay healthy, or to just get outdoors.
His "don't quit" attitude, drove him to make a
prototype himself as a demo for potential
manufacturers which just lead him in circles with
yes and no's & inquiries etc.  He decided to
adopt his personal philosophy which is,  "Make it
yourself if you want to get some out for others to
use!"  He says he just recently made saddles for
two time trialists from Ontario Canada. In the
end it resulted in him selling and making a seat
or two on a per order basis.  Their available
online at JRCarri.com.
The JRCarri.com bike seat is a patented bike
seat (US Patent 6139098) and revolutionary
design oddity that is sure to bring you results.
