The Leverage that is Abortion to Divide the Catholic Church on Political Terms: The problem of
Archbishop Chaput and other similar political influences amidst our priority of spiritual purity.
By Juan R Carrillo, May 2009

We must first grasp the following two questions before we begin to understand this perspective of an
unsuspecting division amidst the spiritual cause of abortion: Can politics benefit from a good spiritual
cause? Yes, it is possible.   And, can a good spiritual cause be divided on any government's existing
political partisanships? Yes, it is possible.
Partisanship is politics and Catholic issues are issues of religion.  The issue should remain under
the theological umbrella of the Catholic Church. Thereby our members remain safely under one
theological roof while on an issue that has become a part of the world of politics.  We as Catholics
should remain firm and advocate a particular political concern together, as we are one entity of millions,
and should not flock to one side or the other in the world of politics.  Our members should remain firm to
our theological ideals and remain as one despite political partisan suggestions and promotional themes
that attempt and even succeed in luring and benefiting from our members.
Given the market and partisan worth of abortion, it may never be abolished so long as it remains a
valuable marketing tool for partisan ideologies.   Such matters may easily be usury and exploitation of a
serious issue by appealing to religious populations.   It is marketing for the value of the vote.
It is a rule of advertising, promotions and propaganda that the more you spend on ads the more the
return.  The more they spend and create scandal on these promotional schemes, the more we are likely
to agree with the possibility of an enemy that wishes to divide us on such a sensitive religious issue.
We must take special care to remain undivided and not fight amongst ourselves and deplete our
selves for an enemy that wishes to exploit us and find us vulnerable.  Yes, the latter is an unusual concept
but think about it.  We must remember that we are a spiritual entity and our enemy is a spiritual one.  We
must stand together as one under a particular issue and not be divided based on worldly political parties
and partisan self interests.  This way we are protected under the ideals of the Church and should remain
as one if political turmoil should arise.
We must stand together against abortion despite whether we are Democrat or Republican or under
any other political roof.  We must be loyal to our Church traditions and members.  From under the one
roof of our traditional Church we must defend any religious, political issues, as if we were a party by
ourselves.  Under the roof of either Republican and Democrat reside many issues that belong to the
world and civics and politics, which is conclusively impure from a spiritual perspective.  Therefore voting
thereof is voting on issues belonging to the world and not to the spiritual and religious Church.  Those on
one or either side of the political party remain there on political terms not spiritual terms.
If any issue should arise that is of spiritual significance to the Church, such issues should be under
our religious ideology,  while the many issues that may define a political party's ideology should be the
basis of voting on political matters and thereby separate.  We can thereby declare that we are defending
such a religious issue under the roof of our religious ideology and therefore the matter of how we may
vote on political matters should remain as part of the world.  We must ask ourselves this question: Does
the world take precedence over our Spiritual life?  Of course not, for we must remain as one in Christ.
Christ is therefore very much a priority in our spiritual life and spiritual Church.  Christ is not an
ideological priority in the world of politics.
Republicanism is not Catholicism nor any claims of religious leanings should not be the basis of
endorsement.  Many Catholics thus prefer Democrat and many Catholics thus prefer Republican and the
same may be for other nations and their own political parties.  Proclamations that Catholics should be of
one political party as opposed to the other while under the roof of the Catholic Church are favoring and
advocating, even unsuspectingly marketing for a political party.  They are unknowingly advocating for
division of innocent sheep or members who are thus falsely referred to as sinners based on their voting
preference.  They are thus dividing based on politics and are unsuspectingly advocating division amidst
our own. This is how he, evil, can moveth thus into our midst.  Thus when God should call us onto one we
should flock onto one and leave the world behind.  Let go of the world if we must and be prepared to
leaveth thy beloved idols of politics and issues of the world behind.  We must endure the struggle
especially amidst luxuries and security for those of thus belongings shall be twice the difficulty to let go,
and those thus in poor will be thus twice easier to let go.
